Close the Norton Application you want to update.
Go to the directory where the file is located (depending on your operating syste
m) and
replace it with the one supplied, make a backup of the original file in the even
t the
one supplied is corrupt.
Were to find the file:
For Win Xp/2k:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveSubscribe
For Win 9x/Me:
C:\WINDOWS\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveSubscribe
Last Setp: Write Protect the file!
After you put the file in the correct folder, just right click it and select
properties. There will be a read-only box. All you have to do is check that
and you are all set.
Or if you are not confident in doing this,
you can delete the: Catalog.LiveSubscribe file from the directory
and uninstall your Norton application then reinstall it, then you will
be good for another year!
